I don’t do dessert recipes. It’s not that I have anything against dessert, it’s more that I don’t really eat it all that often. And when I do it’s scooping Ice cream from a container and that’s about it. However, it’s the holiday season and I have been feeling rather festive about dessert this year. I have been using said ice cream in some new and novel ways, at least for me. This is a great little dessert that will hit that sweet tooth right on the head. This makes 1 serving.
Ingredients
- 1 apple
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 big scoop vanilla bean ice cream
- 1 tablespoon honey
- Sprig of mint (optional)
To Make
Preheat the oven to 425⁰. Slice the apple and place on a sheet pan. Sprinkle the brown sugar evenly over the apples. Bake for 10 minutes. Pull out of the oven. In a bowl, scoop the ice cream. Place the apples on top of the ice cream and drizzle the whole thing with honey. Finish with a sprig of mint. EAT!
