Building on an already vibrant schedule of activities offered at the Mentone Senior Center and Library, the San Bernardino County Library is proud to announce a series of monthly educational and enrichment programs tailored for older adults, scheduled for the remainder of the year.
The senior center currently hosts a dynamic lineup of wellness and social activities that differ every month.
“Many of our seniors are already active and engaged thanks to the incredible programs offered here,” said County Library Program Coordinator Elizabeth Williams. “Our goal is to complement that energy by adding opportunities for intellectual and creative engagement — and to make library resources more accessible.”
Daily and weekly programming includes the following opportunities:
- Chair Exercises: Exercise while sitting in a chair with DVD instruction. Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays at 9 a.m.
- Walking 4 Wellness: Walk on our 0.25-mile track outside the senior center. Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 9 a.m.
- Special Strong: 30-minute chair exercises for senior adults with special needs. Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m.
- Chair Yoga: A series of gentle physical exercises and stretches that will calm your mind and strengthen your body with DVD instruction. Thursdays at 9 a.m.
