I am a huge proponent of simple flavors, when done right, make the best recipes. They also make for short recipes that are easy to follow and execute. Here are two of such recipes.

Guacamole

Ingredients

  • 2 avocados
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ lemon squeezed

To Make

In a bowl, mash avocado with a fork. Mix in salt and lemon juice. Serve with chips, add to any meal. Seriously, guacamole can go with anything.

Sauteed Squash

It’s Squash season in the garden and it may be overwhelming you. They sure do come fast and bountiful. So here is a foolproof way to use it up. Squash size and quantity vary so this is a broad recipe.

Ingredients

  • Squash
  • Olive oil
  • Salt

To Make

Heat a pan on medium. Add olive oil and let heat until shimmering. Add squash. Brown on both sides being careful not to overcook. Salt to taste. Serve as a side.
