The San Bernardino County Land Use Services Department will deliver a community presentation on proposed truck routes under Assembly Bill 98 during the Dec. 16 Board of Supervisors meeting.
AB 98, signed into law in 2024, establishes new environmental and design standards for logistics facilities near community spaces, such as homes, schools and parks. The law also requires jurisdictions in California’s warehouse concentration region to adopt official truck routes by Jan. 1, 2026.
The proposed routes aim to reduce the impact of truck traffic on neighborhoods by improving safety, minimizing air and noise pollution, and directing heavy vehicles to appropriate corridors.
The public is encouraged to attend the presentation to learn more about the proposed routes, ask questions and share their input. This will be the final opportunity to provide feedback before the routes are finalized.
