I have been a total convert to Bachan’s Japanese BBQ Sauce. It is the perfect sauce in my opinion. It is great as a marinade, as a dipping sauce, glaze, or stir fry additive. This is in no way endorsed or sponsored by Bachan’s, it’s just my own opinion. It is a bit pricey in the regular grocery store, but Costco has a good price on the large bottle.
Anyways, I am always on the search for juicy chicken. And this really does it well. It also shares a new technique of cooking chicken I have been using recently and it is a game changer for extra juicy breasts. Feeds 2-4
Ingredients
- 2 large Chicken Breasts
- 2 tbsp Bachan’s BBQ Sauce
- 1 tbsp Dijon Mustard
- 2 tbsp cooking oil
- ¼ cup water
To Make
Combine the Bachan’s and Mustard in a large bowl. Add in chicken breasts and slather with sauce completely. Let marinade for 30 minutes (if you have the time). In a large sauté pan, heat oil over medium high heat. Add chicken and sear for 3-4 minutes on first side. Flip. Add water to the pan and cover. Finish cooking until the inside of the chicken is at least 165 degrees F. Pull chicken out of pan and let rest. For a bonus pan sauce, add any extra of the sauce you have from the bowl to the pan which will likely be runny with the added water. Simmer until thickened. Use as a sauce over the chicken. EAT!
