Holiday cheer brought to local children during ‘Shop with a Cop’ event

This holiday season, the San Bernardino County Probation Department partnered with the Sheriff’s Employees’ Benefit Association to support 19 local children through the annual Shop with a Cop program. Each child enjoyed a special holiday shopping experience, selecting gifts that matched their interests and needs.

Probation staff joined the children throughout the event, offering encouragement as they explored the aisles, picked out meaningful items and shared in the excitement of the season. Smiles, laughter and genuine moments of connection filled the event.

Shop with a Cop aims to strengthen community relationships, build trust and create uplifting experiences for children who may be facing challenges at home. By empowering participants to choose their own gifts, the program fosters independence, confidence and a sense of being valued during the holidays.
