APPLE VALLEY, CA — The U.S. Postal Service recently named Donald Jackson as the new Apple Valley Postmaster. He began his postal career in 1990 as a letter carrier and transferred to Apple Valley that same year. He is a Million Mile Safe Driver Award recipient and a dedicated leader.
In 2023, he transitioned from carrier to a supervisory role before accepting the position as postmaster. He brings 35 years of experience, connection, and a commitment to providing efficient, reliable, and safe mailing services to the Apple Valley community.
“I look to bring a better way of life to the employees and create a structure of quality and first-class service,” Jackson said. “I am honored to work with the employees and the management team and looking forward to making the United States Postal Service and the town of Apple Valley a great place to work and live.”
Postmaster Jackson joins the ranks of postmasters serving local communities dating back to Benjamin Franklin as the Postal Service celebrates 250 years of delivering mail to the American people.
As postmaster, he manages 80 employees, retail services including 1,900 PO Boxes, and 45 delivery routes serving more than 26Lk deliveries to the region’s businesses and residents.
The Apple Valley Post Office is located at 22099 US Highway 18, Apple Valley. It is open Monday – Friday 9:00 am – 5:00 pm; Saturday 9:00 am – 1:00 pm; and closed Sunday.
